Jack Melton, Jr. - Program Administrator
As Co-Founder of North American Solutions (NAS), Jack Melton has been serving the risk management and insurance needs of public schools since 1992. He began his risk management and insurance career in Louisiana, where he served as a leading account executive for a regional company. He has assisted educators in both Texas and Louisiana with their retirement and investment goals. Because of his strong relationship with school administrators, Melton was called upon to assist in the development of national risk management and insurance programs for public schools. Since helping form NAS, he has played an integral role in helping grow the company from 3 clients and less than $1 million in annual sales to more than 125 clients and more than $45 million in annual sales. He is currently responsible for managing the long-term growth of NAS, and the administration and marketing of public school risk management programs in Texas and Louisiana.
Prior to his career in the insurance industry, Melton held the position of accounting supervisor for a global manufacturing company based in Houston, Texas. He later accepted a position in the financial reporting division of a large gas pipeline company where he was responsible for the risk analysis and financial reporting of three subsidiary companies.
Several clients have benefited from his hands-on experience in risk analysis and financial reporting. He has been called upon on several occasions to discuss risk management and insurance concerns before school administrators and board members, and has taught approved continuing education courses for school risk managers.
Born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Melton earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from McNeese State University, and is a two-time award winner in the Dale Carnegie Course for Effective Speaking and Human Relations. He and his wife, Gretchen, have three children and live in Cypress, Texas. He holds a local recording agent and a managing general agent’s license in Texas and a non-resident property and casualty agent’s license in Louisiana. Contact Jack
