Texas Education Code 37.108 requires each school district to have a Multi-Hazard Emergency Operations Plan, including performing Safety and Security Audits. PCAT provides a district risk assessment, reviewing safety policies and training, as well as physical hazard risks to help the district maintain the highest safety standards.
PCAT risk assessment team will perform an on-site physical safety inspection of all buildings, including fire suppression and security systems.
The inspection includes a review of district safety policies and procedures for situations such as fire, lockdown and theft.
Based on the inspection and review, PCAT will provide recommendations for improving district safety policies and reducing district physical hazards
