Bus Driver of the Year
Purpose
At no time during the school day is the ratio of students to supervision worse than when on the school bus. Every school day, bus drivers work solo in a challenging environment.
Recognizing the achievements of the best drivers as district PCAT Bus Driver of the Year helps reward their efforts and motivate others.
Action
Nomination
Each year, Member Transportation Directors are contacted and asked to provide their district’s selection for PCAT Bus Driver of the Year.
District Award
The driver chosen as a district’s honoree will receive an award and commendation recognizing them as the district’s BDOTY.
Texas State-Wide Award
All PCAT district honorees are then evaluated to determine a state-wide PCAT Bus Driver of the Year.
